Anti-Wrinkle Therapies
There are various types of anti wrinkle injection containing Botulinum Toxin type A. It is a purified protein which has been used therapeutically since 1985. It is used in very small doses to temporarily stop the muscle causing the expression line from working, resulting in a more relaxed appearance boosting your self esteem. The results typically lasts 4-6 months. It takes 4-14 days for the after treatment effects to be seen.

Botulinum Toxin A blocks the release of acetylcholine at the end of the nerve, at the junction between the muscles and nerves. Acetylcholine is necessary to stimulate muscle contraction.
Botulinum Toxin A can be used in the treatment of migraines, excessive underarm sweating & pain in the temporomandibular joint. These conditions would require a diagnosis by the referring Doctor or Dentist.
The Botulinum Toxin A contains albumin from human blood.

Hertford Aesthetics uses Azzulure® mainly, Botox® or Bocouture® can be used as alternatives - prices may vary.
Bocouture will be suitable for lactose intolerant clients
The prices are a guideline based on treatment with Azzulure®

Treatment Time 15-30 minutes
Small fine needles are inserted in specific areas. There may be slight discomfort. Anaesthetic cream can be applied prior to treatment.

Common Reactions
Mild to moderate in first week
Temporary lasting no more than 1 week.
Skin reactions are influenced by site, depth & number of injections. Also by the skin type of the client & quality and purity of the product.
All procedures are technique sensitive.
At treatment site:
